The food was delicious!! Enak banget pokoknya! The hottest sambal was super spicy so be careful. I loved the details such as batik tablet clothes and the servers wearing traditional Balinese style kebayas. We had a chat with the owner of the restaurant who was super lovely. I would return again if ever I'm in Wollongong!

We came on a Friday night and we were delighted with the delicious dinner! I had tried many Indonesian/ Balinese restaurants and truly this is a pretty authentic one. I am especially impressed with the menu, as the owner has taken the time to write in details of what every dish is made of with allergies warning. Also to cater for people who may not be able to handle the spices, there are mild options available which are very accommodating. I loved my nasi campur (magic) dish which has everything, especially the minced chicken wrap, and the bihun goreng was to die for as well. I wish I lived nearer so I can visit more often!

Been here 3 times and the food never disappoints. We ordered sate lilit, babi guling, be celeng base kecap, Balinese beef rendang, and perkedel jagung. The portions were decent, the taste was delicious, definitely will come back.

Amazing food with explosive flavours. We ordered about 5-6 dishes for our occasion and could not fault any of them. Plenty of vegetarian options and plenty of share plates to spread with the group. Definitely a must-visit if in the area!

Absolutely incredible! We ordered takeaway from Balinese Spicy Magic and it was honestly one of the best meals we’ve had in a long time. The flavours were so vibrant and authentic perfect balance of spice, sweetness and freshness. Every dish tasted like it was made with so much love.
The portions were generous, the food was still piping hot when we got home, and the service was super friendly. You can really tell they care about quality and traditional Balinese flavours.
We will 100% be ordering again. Highly recommend to anyone who loves delicious, soulful, spicy food.

Incredible restaurant and amazing service by Desak. She was really accommodating to our needs and very friendly. The food was very authentic and every single item we ordered was delicious. It is very rare we go to a restaurant and enjoy everything. We ordered the vegan and combo campur. Really brought us back to when we were living there. The ingredients for the pastes and even the vegetables were fresh and the food wasn't oily at all. Very hard to find good Indonesian food so glad to have found this place!!

If you're craving something authentic, flavorful, and beautifully presented, this Balinese restaurant in Wollongong is an absolute must-visit. From the moment you step inside, you're welcomed with warm hospitality and a calming tropical atmosphere that immediately transports you to the heart of Bali.
The menu is a celebration of traditional Balinese flavors, with rich, aromatic spices and fresh ingredients shining in every dish.
The service was attentive without being intrusive, and the staff clearly take pride in sharing their culture through food. To top it off, the restaurant offers a great selection of Indonesian teas.
Whether you're a fan of Southeast Asian cuisine or just looking for something different, this place is a true gem. A five-star experience in both food and atmosphere—I’ll definitely be returning!

Incredible vegan and mainstream food - my favourite place to eat in Wollongong! I have attended for dinners and for cooking classes, and I can say that the food, service, and quality are second to none. Always an absolute pleasure and I will eat here for any reason - often I'm just begging for an excuse. I promise you it is that good.
In terms of accommodations, there is plenty of choice for vegan, vegetarian, gluten free people as well as a normy menu for the carnivores. Spice levels are flexible and broad (from Mild - Medium - Spicy - Jules Spicy) and I honestly recommend eating it Jules Spicy, but I am a chilli fiend so take it at your own pace! My dad can't handle spice and he eats mild and has a fabulous time with it.
I can recommend the Pepe's Jackfruit and Tempur Is for entrees, BSM Cooler for a mocktail, and I often find it hard to go past the Tempeh Rendang for a main. The desserts are also absolutely gorgeous, I usually have the Pisang Gorgeng and it is soooo crispy and yummy. Do give them a try!

As a lover of all things Balinese, I was keen to try Balinese Spice Magic. The meals were very good, maybe not exactly as you'd get in Bali, but still really tasty! And the service was wonderful... very friendly and attentive staff! 🤗 Best to book ahead as the main dining area is fairly small, there's also another section down stairs, but I didn't investigate it.
It's certainly worth a visit, particularly if you fancy trying something other than the usual Thai & Chinese cuisines. 😉👌
